FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How will I know my cans are cleaned?
You mean besides the fact that they look and smell fresh? We will apply a strip of blue tape on the lid of your bin after it is cleaned.
How often should my trash and recycle cans be cleaned?
We recommend cleaning your trash and recycling cans monthly to minimize maggots, flies, rodents, and creatures lurking around your cans.
What if I am going away and cannot put my cans out for cleaning?
Simply call or email us at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled cleaning day and we will credit you for that month by adding it to the back end of your service, skip your cleaning and see you the following month. Unfortunately, if you do not notify us within 24 hours and we show up to provide the service, your account cannot be credited.
When will you come to clean my cans?
We will come out the same day your local trash company picks up your trash bins. In the event schedules conflict, inclement weather, or by an Act of God, it will be the day after or your following next schedule day.
Can I swap bins each visit?
We do not allow the swapping of bins from one visit to the next. Each bin must have its own service plan. The longer a bin goes between cleanings, the longer it takes to clean.
Why should I pay you when I can clean it myself?
Honestly? We will do a much better job and safely by taking the dirty water with us instead of dumping it on the grass or down the gutter. For decades, the “old” way to clean a dirty trash can was to use bleach and a water hose. But bleach is not environmentally friendly and will not kill the odor-producing bacteria effectively.
I was charged today, but no one came.
You will always be charged on the same day you signed on with us, (due to geography and trash company schedules, your service day might be before or after when you were charged. This also can change through the year depending on trash company schedules and holidays.) therefore the service might not be on that day.
Is service provided year around?
We provide services from April through the end of November. We do not provide services during January, February, March, and December.
Why do I have to sign up for service each year?
We do not renew services the following year. Sometimes people want to change service plans, change the number of bins, etc.
How did we end up loving the trash can cleaning business?
Before we tell you the how, here is some insider info most people don’t know: From the day I met Tom, he told me how he thought it would be awesome to be a garbage man. He is also quite fanatic about detailing cars. So, one morning while scrolling through Instagram Stories, I saw a company from out of state cleaning someone’s garbage bins with the coolest-looking truck ever! I immediately sent a screenshot to Tom and told him I thought I had found his dream job…. kind of like a garbage man who details the cans! He laughed me off at first (I have the convo saved to prove it) but here we are!
